We have to take things all over the place at all sorts of times, often out onto the Playa. So even if we could be the exception to the rule, we'd rather not be using a truck to be driving everywhere stirring up dust and pissing people off. We'd like something on the smallish side to get around efficiently without killing ourselves. Especially this last year, it seemed like over half our time was spent pedaling from one side to the other with an impressive and heavy load while being very creative with weight distribution and balance. Heat was a factor as well with all those days of all-day pedaling. I know I for one ended up in an RV with frozen Hebrew Nationals and vodka bottles stuck in my pants and shirt to recover from being overcome with the heat after one day's runs. I think the DMV would frown on delivery trucks.. ;-)
I'd like nothing more than to build my own, but this year it's just not going to happen, so trying to find one that might otherwise be sitting unused this year.
