I have one of those stripper pole stages that is 4' x 4'. I would like to put wheels on it so we can pull it along during a parade at Decom. We also have a dancing cage that is about 4 x 7 and want to do the same thing. My question is, where can I get wheels and axel? The ultimate would be something that has bearings, like a small bicycle wheel, because it would be so much easier to move. But I don't want to spend crazy money on it cuz it's just a one-shot deal. We also thought about putting castor wheels on it, but we would then need an ATV to pull it. Any ideas for a fairly cheap, fairly easy-to-execute solution?
Thanks

drill these into the bottom of the stage. When Decom is over remove them, and you'll never know the difference.

Fri, March 28, 2008 - 10:41 AMMight want a better set of wheels to deal with possible bumps in the road. Here's an interesting mutable alternative from the Northern catalog: www.northerntool.com/webapp/...00356494

Re: Putting wheels on a stipper pole stage
Sat, April 5, 2008 - 11:49 AMI've had really good luck w/ wheelbarrow wheels for hacks like this. I would
find someone who welds and use 5/8" bolts welded into 1" pipe for an axle.
The 'barrow wheels are usually good for 500 lbs/apiece - slow speeds only,
of course.
